5/25/21 – Doug Rawlins (MAE Principal) took students to Palo Duro Canyon & Mr. Gattis Pizza for an Accelerated Reader award trip. Visit our Photos page to see pictures from their trip.

5/18/21 – Lynz Hood took her 4th-grade students on a trip to visit the Mt. Capulin volcano. Visit our Photos page to see the pictures from their trip.

5/13/21 – Macy Begley’s 6th-grade class recently attended Amarillo Little Theatre’s production of Matilda. Prior to the show, they enjoyed a nice meal at the Amarillo Club. Visit our Photos page to see some of the pictures from their grant trip.

3/25/21 – New grants were awarded at the board meeting on 3/25/21. Congratulations to all the recipients! Stay tuned for more announcements and pictures regarding these grant opportunities and experiences.

Board Meeting & Grant Interviews – 3/25/21
Linda Henderson was awarded $1,000 for science lab equipment & supplies for SJH.
Sierra Schoonover & Enedit Baeza were awarded $1,301.80 for STEM training & Lego robotics kits.
Macy Begley was awarded $2,329.63 for tickets to “Matilda” at the Amarillo Little Theatre, books, & dinner for her 6th-grade students.
Jenna Pool & Kaleb Horsford were awarded $1,693 for repairs to scales & the plasma cutter for the FFA program.
Lynz Hood was awarded two grants–one for $1,050 for a 4th grade trip to Capulin in May, and $1,370 for a PIP basketball program for her students at MAE.
Mr. Rawlins was also awarded two grants–one for an AR program reward trip, and one for a STAAR testing reward trip, for a total of $2,600.
